Window Installation Professional

There are a number of reasons to replace your windows, whether they’ve lost their ability to insulate your home effectively or have sustained damage from a storm. Serving clients across Morris County, New Jersey, Lifetime Aluminum offers a wide range of window installation options that are both stylish and functional for any space. We believe that these are some of the biggest considerations to make when weighing your options for window replacements.

Which Installation Method Will Be Required?

When installing replacement windows, there are two commonly used methods. One is a full frame replacement, which begins with the removal of the window, sill, and trim on the interior and exterior. As the name suggests, the old window and its frame is removed entirely and replaced with a properly installed replacement window. The other common method is pocket replacement. This means that only the window itself is being replaced, so there’s nothing to be done to the sill and trim.

Many Window Replacement Styles to Choose From

Another important consideration to make when installing new windows is the style of your home or business, as well as your goals for functionality. At Lifetime Aluminum, we offer the following types of windows to those interested in installing replacements:

  • Bay and bow windows: Bay and bow windows are always comprised of at least three large vertical window panes. While you can choose to install more than three, bow windows jut out further, while bay windows are set at a slight angle.
  • Casement windows: Casement windows are taller than the typical window and swing outwards towards the exterior of your home.
  • Double-hung windows: Double-hung windows have a similar design as single-hung windows, but they have an upper and lower sash, which allows you to open both parts. This affords much more versatility than the single-hung window.
  • Garden windows: Garden windows stick out from the interior of the home, and the top pane is sloped downwards. This extra platform can hold small potted plants and herbs, and the slanted upper pane prevents the buildup of debris, snow, and rain.
  • Sliding windows: Sliding windows sit on a horizontal sash and are very easy to open. Because they’re designed without the usual mid-frame, so you’ll receive more natural light in rooms that have sliding windows.
  • Storm windows: Storm windows are designed to withstand the extreme conditions your home experiences during inclement weather. These windows are also manufactured with high-quality materials that have excellent thermal insulation properties.
